The story of Downtown Service & Trailers is intertwined with the evolving automotive needs of Williams Lake. Founded in the early '90s by Ed & Ann Jackson, our humble beginnings on the corner of Third and Oliver paved the way for a legacy of quality, reliability, and service.
Growth and Evolution
In 1998, responding to our growing clientele, we expanded to a larger facility on Mackenzie Avenue, marking a new chapter in our journey. The early 2000s saw significant changes, with the towing business being sold and Downtown Service passing into the caring hands of Rick and Paulette Giesbrecht in 2005. We continued to adapt to the changing times, and in 2008 we welcomed the integration of trailer sales into our mechanics and repair service offerings.

In 2022, under the ownership of Kane Fraser, we embraced a new identity as Downtown Service & Trailers, becoming an authorized dealer for Southland Trailers. This transformation exemplifies our continuing commitment to not only provide top-tier automotive services but also to meet the growing demand for high-quality trailers in the region.
